George Jacobs holds an M.A. in Linguistics with a Specialisation in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. He has taught English and Applied Linguistics in his native United States as well as in Thailand, Singapore, China and Central America. From 1993-2000 he was a Language Specialist at the Regional Language Centre (RELC) in Singapore and has over 100 academic publications to his credit. Presently he is an educational consultant. He is also an active member of the Nature Society (Singapore).

Loh Wan Inn has a doctorate in education from Rutgers. She has lived, studied and taught in various places: Singapore, Ireland, North America, Australia and Taiwan. She has been conducting courses, workshops and camps for teachers, students and parents on science, mathematics, environmental education, coopera-tive learning, curriculum issues and multiple intelligences. She is a member of the Institute of Biologist, UK, the Nature Society (Singapore) and the Malaysian Nature Society. Currently she is an educational consultant.
