Journeys is a twelve-volume, three-level, skills-based series for young adult and adult EFL/ESL learners at high-beginning through intermediate levels. It combines the comprehensiveness and continuity of a coursebook with the strength and fucus of single skill titles. Thus,Journeys titles can be used to construct a tailored curriculum for classes in which student skills are at different levels. Each book may also be used separately as supplements to basal series or as stand-alone skills texts. The topics, grammar and vocabulary in each book are recycled in the other books of the same level. Journeys consists of Levels One, Two and Three of Listening/Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Grammar.

The goal of Journeys Writing 1, 2, 3 is take sutdents from writing simple, compound, and complex sentences and short paragraphs to writing short essays. A variety of contexts and tasks build on each other to allow students to be creative but still accurate in their use of the language.
