Visual Basic 2005 is a significant upgrade of one of the core pieces of Microsoft's Visual Studio programming suite. It has many new features--some if which are responses to VB 6 programmers who found the transition to the .NET platform difficult.

    Among other enhancements, VB 2005 reduces the amount of code required to accomplish common tasks, reduces programming errors at design time, simplifies data access, and delivers high-end features for advanced developers.

    Currently there are more than 4 million VB programmers, and we expect a large number to upgrade to the new version over the next few years.
