Planning an experiment
1. Perform a quick preliminary experiment as a rehearsal, in order to allow you to plan the way you will do the experiment.
2. Keep a laboratory logbook.
3. Record all readings directly.
4. Record readings in tables with columns headed with the name and unit.
5. Do not overwrite numbers. Cross out the wrong number and record the new one alongside.
6. Record all your observations.
7. Write notes on all you have found.
Assessment
During the laboratory hours, each student will be graded according to his/her skill and/or understanding of the exercise. After
that, each student will be expected to submit a report on each exercise. Each report will be marked and used to compute the
coursework mark.
