Primary Essentials in English in English, Test Papers Primary 1 is a component of Oxford University Press’s Primary Essentials programme for Primary English. The tests found in this book cover all the three major sections or papers of the English examination. There are a total of ten test papers designed to address the following testing needs of pupils: Assessment of skills and strategies, familiarization with examination format, examination type practice papers.

Three tests: Tests 4, 7 and 10, are full tests as they include Paper 3, the listening comprehension and phonics sections, as well as Papers 1 and 2. These are meant to give pupils an ides of what the complete examination looks like.
Answers are provided at the end of the book for self evaluation as well as evaluation by parents and tutors.
