SOUND BYTES : Listening for Today's World is a three-level listening course for false-beginner through pre-intermediate learners of English. Designed to teach specilfic listening strategies such as listening for main ideas, and listening for specific information, SOUND BYTES also provides the opportunity to expand critical thinking skill. The in clusion of material dealing with troublesome individual sounds, speech reductions, stress and intonation patterns, and making sense of non-word sounds common to everyday English makes SOUND BYTES unique among listening courses.
