This book was designed for the students who took EG221 : Systematic Reading I, Which was the first of six Reading courses offered by The English Department, Thammasat University during 1983-1900

The main objecttives of the course were to encourage students:
- To be familiar with various teachiques useful for effective reading
- To be read according to their own capacity and at their own rate
- To be read what they are interested in; and
- To be increase their general vocabulary
